Vision Rehabilitation Services proudly participated in the Matariki Wellness Event 2024, held at western springs community hall on 28 Jun. This significant event, celebrating the Māori New Year, focused on health, wellness, and cultural heritage, aligning perfectly with our mission to support individuals with vision loss and diabetes.
We also dedicated time to address various health-related inquiries from attendees. Our experts answered questions and provided guidance on managing and understanding different health issues, emphasizing the importance of holistic care and rehabilitation for those with vision loss and other disabilities. This personalized consultation aimed to equip individuals with the knowledge and resources needed to enhance their quality of life.

Vision Bus Aotearoa

On October 7th, 2024, Vision Rehabilitation Services, in collaboration with The University of Auckland, proudly led the Vision Bus Aotearoa initiative, bringing essential eye health services to the Auckland community. This mobile service was designed to support individuals with visual impairments and those requiring comprehensive eye health check-ups.
The Vision Bus provided:
Eye screenings and vision assessments
Health consultations addressing specific eye care concerns
Information and resources on maintaining long-term eye health
The event exemplified VRS's commitment to making eye care accessible for all, especially those in need of critical support. With a great turnout, the initiative highlighted the importance of community care and reinforced our mission to enhance the quality of life for individuals facing vision challenges across Aotearoa.
